Francesco De Luca

Francesco De Luca, Ph.D., is Full Professor of Accounting, at the University “G. d’Annunzio” of Chieti-Pescara. He has been Head of the Department of Business Administration and Management during 2022-2023. Since 2015 to 2022 he has also been Director of the Master Program in Economics and Management and he is currently Professor of International Accounting and Financial Reporting within the same M.Sc. He has been visiting scholar at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (USA), School of Business, in 2012, 2014 and 2017. He is currently member of the Academic Panel of EFRAG and member of the Advisory Board of the IAS - AAA (American Accounting Association). He is also Co-Coordinator of two National Special Interest Groups: 1) “Non-Financial Information, Sustainability and Integrated Reporting”, and 2) "Environment, Social, Governance (ESG): Risks, Performances, Control” of SIDREA (Italian Academic Association of Accounting Professors). He is also Chair of the Auditing Committee of the Board of Directors of SIDREA (Italian Academic Association of Accounting Professors). He is currently member of the Editorial Board of Journal of Governance and Regulation (JGR), and of the Springer Book Series “SIDREA Accounting and Business Administration”. He is reviewer for several international journals. He is fellow of AAA (American Accounting Association), of EAA (European Accounting Association), and of SIDREA (Società Italiana dei Docenti di Ragioneria e di Economia Aziendale). He has (co)authored various articles and books about international accounting standards convergence, non-financial information, sustainability reporting, venturing and start-up finance, financial distress analysis, and troubled debt restructuring for financial stability.
